Help! We have seen a house that we really like that is empty. We have contacted the French agent, emailed, telephoned, faxed but he does not reply. We did get just one response offering us 15 mins on a Wednesday. We are in the UK and need to arrange time off work, flights etc. so cannot go at the drop of a hat.
- "I'm astounded - I can't believe that after all this time we finally have the information we needed. Thank you so much."(AD, Cambridge, UK)Moving to France soon but haven't found a house yet or registered kids for schools
I located your website and your services sound just what I am looking for to help a family move to the Limousin area of France preferably within one hours drive of Limoges airport. I am helping them from the UK side to finalise and plan for their move but they need some help in France.
The couple have 2 children ages 10 and 5 and will need school places finding for them as well as a property to rent initially. They are keen to set up a viewing trip as soon as possible. Would you be able to help within these timescales to source a property to rent and more importantly show them schools etc and assist them with securing school places (SC, London, UK)
Would you please help us get electricity in our second home located in the Aveyron and set up direct debits for us ?
Thank you for your efforts. We have enough trouble trying to sort out the utility companies in England in our own language, I can't imagine where we would have ended up trying to sort it out in French. (GD, Herts, England)…Hi Nadege and Anthony. Still no phone and no France Telecom coming. Have written to minister of coms. Can we employ you to get us back on line? Situation disasterous. May have to return to UK if no phone and internet.
"Wow! What a fantastic and speedy service you provide. We have been promised a refund by France Telecom which is strange. They did not do any major work because the line started to work half an hour before they arrived - also strange. But they did attach the junction box properly this time." (MW, Mirepoix, France)
We are very confused by the telephone bills we are getting from Orange. We thought we signed up for packages that sounded reasonable but we are now getting large bills. Either we have done something wrong or they have. Our French is too basic to even understand what the bills are saying. Can you help please?
Hello Nadege and Anthony, Thank you both so much for all your help! And I guess that’s all for now too. Please let me know if you have spent a lot of time on this and I’ll compensate you for that. (YL, Paris, France)
It would seem I have an appointment with the Surgeon for my hip replacement on Friday 10th August (a lot quicker than I thought!! or even wanted!! - fear is rearing its ugly head!!)
Our local Doctor is ringing this afternoon with the time, so maybe I could use your services if the Surgeon doesn't speak any English. I have a list of questions I want to ask!!!! Maybe I will be able to ask the Surgeon to telephone you while I am there?? Do you feel this will be acceptable??
"Thank you both so much. p.s. the Surgeon did speak a bit of English but appreciated the translated questions." (YM, Roquefixade, France)
A 4 month fridge argument
I bought a fridge last July and it quickly developed a very loud creaking noise like a giant frog. ------ We have chased the shop and chased the manufacturer for the past four months. Please can you help ?

We need a caretaker for our home in france. We are there during holidays and we need someone to check it and carry out some maintenance while we are away.
Dear nadge. Thanks again. Paid by visa today (RT, Essex, England)**************
“We have 24 acres of land, mostly woodland. The usual routine was for my husband to cut down trees, log up and store ready for winter. At present that’s not possible. The question is, do you have any idea how much it would cost to have someone come and cut trees down. Is it possible a sort of 'barter' system could work, someone cuts it down and takes wood for themselves and payment would be to cut some down for us???”
Adrian came over on Sunday and is coming back this Sunday to start chopping down trees. Again, you two hit the nail on the head. THANK YOU AGAIN!!! what would we do without you two!! (RM, Ariège, France)**************
We have bought a mobile home, 183 miles from P. Do you know of a transporter who would fetch it or any one who would hire a lorry to get it & how much they would charge?
Thanks a lot for letting me know, and my compliments for your efficiency, I will certainly recommend you to my friends who live in Brittany and the other ones on the Swiss border. (WS-IH, Northampton, England)Basically the fire happened when the vacationer that was there on Dec 30 had a fire going normally in the fireplace. I'd need to get contractors bids soon on the work so we can get started right away. I'll also need you to liaise with the insurer. This whole situation has been very devastating to us financially and emotionally just so you know.
Just received insurance check for 3817,44€...finally! Thanks. Just confirms that my money is well spent on your services and I really appreciate that extra effort! Thanks so much :) (BD, California, USA)**************
Dear Help in France, I sold a car part exchange for very little money a few months ago and I’ve since received 2 letters saying I had to pay 2 fines and have points on my licence for speeding! I’ve been to the garage where I sold the car but it does not exist anymore. Can you help ?

We are trading as a UK company operating overseas and what we are looking for is initially a rough guide to our requirements and actions that we should be taking here in France.
Thank you for providing me with the contact, it seems that you very much put me on the right track. Kind regards (RC, Aquitaine, France)**************
Nice to speak with you again, as explained we now realise our property is under insured.
Thank you once again for your help; has really put our minds at rest we have been concerned about cover for the property ever since the valuation was made! (JC, Wales, England)**************
Hi there, could you tell me how much you`d charge for a 3/4 page of script, translated into French for a planning application.
Thanks for sorting that for me. I'll pop a cheque in the post in the next couple of days. thanks again (KD, Shropshire, England)We have not done anything with our planning permission. We have decided that we really cannot afford to do the work so although permission was granted we are not going to be using it. Will there be any chance of getting our money back (the interim payments made) or will it just be classed as our fault for not going ahead??
"Blimey ! I've just receive a cheque from the Tax Office for 3229€. I can't believe it ! I thought they would give me only part of it. This is my best day for a long time. Thanks ever so much you two" (YM, Ariège, France)**************
Not sure if you can help but someone has sent me your newsletter. I have a house in Collioure (Region 66) which I have been letting out since last July –
I have been trying to get a French Accountant to help me with the tax return but with not much luck. I now see I have only a few days to do it – is this something you can assist me with?
I have received the attached from the tax people – do I have to pay both? Or am I really fortunate and they got it all wrong and I only have to pay 188 euros (I have a feeling that is a bit of wishful thinking !!) Would you mind having a quick look and let me know.
Thanks very much – I will get it all sorted. Let me know how much I owe you for your time.(SS, Oxford, UK)**************
I have a client asking how he can get a prediction of his French old age pension value. He's been paying in for years. Can you tell me how to go about it? many thanks, Rob
Thanks Nadege, you're a star. (RH, Aude, France)I have just started running a B&B in the Aude. Bruce said I should contact you regarding a translation of our web site - could you please give me a price to translate it to french ?
Many thanks for your help, We will include petit dejeuner, can't do english beakfast unless you know a source for bacon? Hope you have a good christmas and thanks again. (CB - Aude, France)
I would ask you to look at my site and then give me a quote for a translation, but can you also confirm that it will not be a literal translation but changing the text so that it reads correctly in French, difficult to explain but I am sure that you understand what I mean …/… can I ask you to look at our other website for our winter business and then let me know what your best possible price would be to carry out the translation of both sites.
I have had a quick look at the translation and it looks great. Back in France now, sorry for the delay. Thank you so much, might be calling on you in the future. (RG, Savoie, France)
We would be interested in receiving a quote to translate our website into French.
Many thanks Nadege and Anthony - the translation looks very good …/… Many thanks for checking the site and for your corrections and suggestions. (IW, Aveyron, France)
I've checked your references and website work and I would be delighted to use your translation services for our website.
Thanks for all your help in translating our website. We are very pleased with the result (SM, Toronto, Canada)
Obviously need to translate website into French and keep meaning to do so, but never seem to have had time. Please could you give me a quote for full translation of website.
Thanks for doing my translation for my gite website. I am running another business here. I have a website if you want to take a look. This I will also need to translate but I just need to finish it first. Do send me some business cards which I can pass around (RM, Aude, France)
Can you help me with this ?
We have a property in South of France but live in Ireland. I was hoping to travel to Cherbourg next week and there to purchase a cheap but reliable car. We would intend driving from there to our house with the intention of leaving the car permanently in France. Our French is very poor.
We Need help sourcing a car in the Cherbourg area. Can you help?
Everything went OK. Thank you for your help. We will go to Ceret tomorrow for the change of Carte Grise. The Xantia was very comfortable on the long trip South (Senator, Ireland)
